Cozy Cabin Chic

Buffalo Plaid Flannel Shirt: Gap | Denim: Citizen Rocket Skinny |Gucci (they don’t make the silver anymore, only gold) | T-shirt: James Perse (so comfy & great quality) | Hat: Old, but have similar ones by Kyi Kyi & love them! | Booties: Christian Louboutin | Wrap Coat: J Crew Factory (I have gotten so much wear out of this!)

So it’s been insanely WINTER around here in eastern Canada, which is pretty typical this time of year. It’s been really cold and the snow has been never-ending. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love every season, but winters here can be particularly long (like 6 months sometimes!). That said, I am doing my best to embrace it.

When it comes to day-to-day fashion, it totally has me feeling the cabin cozy vibes. You know? Sitting around the fireplace with a hot drink (or glass of red!), warm fuzzy blankets and socks; lots and lots of comfy, cozy lounge wear. Oh, and let’s not forget to give me all the slouchy turtlenecks and Flannels! Anyone with me?

This look is somewhat inspired by this mood. I found this buffalo plaid flannel in the men’s department of GAP. I was in the checkout, picking up some things for Elle and I saw this and it was screaming my name. It checked off all the cozy marks (oversized, flannel, warm, comfy!).

I have found myself using it as a cozy layer when road-trippin’ with the fam – paired with my fave comfy lulu lemon tights. I also have layered it with jeans and booties (as seen) for lunch dates or or with my Ugg boots for the market. I especially love throwing it on with lounge pants when hanging around the house. Andrew actually even wore it once, haha!

I am all about comfort on the best of days and during the winter months, I tend to double down!  This is just ONE piece that I feel at home in. I am pretty sure the ratio of comfort clothes vs dressy clothes wins in my closet. I might need to fix that balance! What about you!? Are you feeling like you want nothing by comfort this winter? What’s your comfy vibe look like?

Until next time, thanks for reading and chat soon!
