Beauty Oil: Herbivore | Eye Cream: Fresh | Face Wash: Laneige | Serum: SkinCeuticals | Exfoliant: Tatcha | Skin Cream: Tatcha | Toner: Fresh | Lip Mask: Laneige

Happy Monday! Today I thought I would do a round-up of all my latest beauty products. When I found out I was expecting, one of the first things I started thinking about were if the ingredients in my skincare were safe. I am sure other mammas can attest, there are SO many things that are deemed unsafe for expecting moms. If it hasn’t been deemed unsafe, it’s usually not been tested – leaving us with a very limited list of what we can have/use while pregnant.

For my last pregnancy I kept it pretty simple with my skin care, but this time around (although only two years later) I find myself more focused on anti-aging products. Most of these types of products are not safe for baby, so I had to swap out a lot of my skin care and even some make-up products for pregnancy friendly versions. (I will save make-up products for another post!)

While trying to find some amazing anti-aging, pregnancy friendly, skincare products – I quickly became VERY overwhelmed. There are SO many ingredients on the back of these products. I really feel like I don’t know what half of these are or mean – it’s seriously all greek to me. Thank goodness for the folks at 15 minute beauty! This is basically a website that has done ALL the research on this and it saved me so much time (and headaches).  It essentially lists products by almost every brand imaginable and whether they are safe or unsafe for expecting moms.

So, I basically went into Sephora with my cellphone and between a super helpful beauty skincare consultant and this website, we were able to to find some amazing products I could replace for my current skincare regime without hesitation while pregnant. I actually think I may even continue to use post-pregnancy because I am loving them all!

First is my face wash. I went with a moisturizing foaming cleanser by LANEIGE, as my skin tends to lean toward normal to dry. The description says it’s hydrating, refining, richly foaming formula that de-flakes rough skin with fruit acids. It smells really pretty and makes my skin feel great. I really love the LANEIGE skincare line in general. I have used a few of their products and they are really nice and gentle and also a really great price point (love their vitamin brightening & cleansing water for cleaning my face in the morning!). Also, worth noting that pretty much everything in their skincare line is pregnancy friendly!!

Next up is ultra important in anti-aging process – an exfoliate.  I have used an exfoliant here and there over the years, I have been wanting to incorporate one into my regime more regularly. The one by TATCHA is wonderful and it can be used daily – also did i mention it’s pregnancy friendly! It’s a rice polish foaming enzyme powder – so you put a teaspoon size amount in the palm of your hand, add some water and it quickly turns into a foam as you “polish” your face. I have the gentle because they didn’t have the “classic” or “deep” in but I would be interested in trying those as well!

I tried to stay within one or two skincare lines for my products, as I find your products tend to work better that way. So for a moisturizer I went with the TATCHA Dewy Skin Cream. I love this moisturizer and I use it day and night, before I put on my beauty oil.

Like exfoliants, I have used beauty oils in the past. I love them, but fell off the bandwagon and recently jumping back on a few months ago. The Beauty Oil I decided to go with while pregnant is by Herbivore. It’s called Orchard Youth. I love the smell of it and it makes my skin glow! You only need 5 drops and it goes a long way and will last a really long time.

In the mornings, after I cleanse and before I moisturize I use CE Ferulic by SkinCeuticals. It’s a daytime vitamin C serum that delivers advanced environmental protection and improves appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness and brightens skin complexion. I used this years ago and I’m not sure why I stopped, because it’s amazing and dermatologist recommended. Great for anti-gaining and pregnancy safe!

For my eye cream, I use back tea firming & deputing eye cream by FRESH. I love this eye cream. I actually used it pre-pregnancy and was happy to find out it was safe during pregnancy too. Many of the FRESH products are!

Following with the FRESH brand, I just recently started using the rose deep hydration toner after I cleanse. I LOVE this toner. It’s actually on display in my bathroom because it’s so pretty with all the petals floating around! I love the smell of it too. I always loved a rosewater toner. I have used a variation of one since I was 22 (that is a long time haha!). Before this FRESH toner I used Burts Bees Rose Water for years, which is also pregnancy friendly & a less expensive option.

Lastly, this lip sleeping mask is a new product I have added to my regime and I LOVE it. It’s also by LANEIGE. I have always had issues with dry lips and have tried SO many lip balms and masks. This one seems to be the best thus far (mind you my lips tend to do better in the warmer months, so I will be curious to see how it works for me in the winter. So far tho, I really find it has helped me and I love it and highly recommend it!

So there you have it, a round-up of all my newest beauty products, great for pregnancy and beyond. Please feel free to share any other products you may have used and loved using your pregnancy – especially if they are anti-aging! I hope this post helps other expecting moms feel less overwhelmed and more informed about choosing beauty products that are right for you and safe for you babes. Until next time, thanks for reading and have a great week!
