Striped Maternity Dress

Dress: Pink Blush | Shoes: Steve Madden (on sale!) | Purse: Clare V (have been getting so much wear out of this for summer – great investment)

I received quite a few inquiries about this dress. Who doesn’t love stripes? I mean, they work with everything. They are practically a neutral. Never mind they can be dressed up or down and take on various personalities (depending on the piece and how you wear it). You can always find a stripe that will work – you just have to know what you’re looking for and find it.

Stripes are the pattern that dominate my closet. I always love how I feel when wearing them. I love that they can be casual or more dressy. I love that when worn certain ways they can compliment my body and I especially love that they have the ability to express the mood of your look so clearly, whether it’s nautical, preppy or something else. Stripes are simply timeless and amazing.

This dress is maternity. I picked it up at Pink Blush and it’s SO comfortable. I love how soft the fabric is and how easy it is to wear. The vertical stripes on the bottom elongate my body while the horizontal ones on top add a contrast, which combined, helps to balance out my shape, flattering my ever-growing bump.

I personally like to pair it with wedges, because it gives me height and dresses it up a bit (without making it too fussy). Although, depending on your mood, white sneakers or even flip flops or slides could work with this. I am wearing it in small – so I would say it runs true to size (with a little wiggle room).

We are currently vacationing in the Hamptons (for the first time) then we are off to Martha’s Vineyard and I feel like this easy to wear piece will be on repeat in both spots. It’s summery, preppy & nautical all rolled into one. The perfect vibe for a laid back day in both these summer vacation spots. Especially perfect when 22 weeks pregnant, chasing a toddler around in the heat – easy, breezy!
