Maternity Dress: PinkBlush | Sandals: Steve Madden | Purse: Clare V. (gently used!) or new here
I love Sundays. Growing up, it was a rule that we always went to church as a family (my father was a minister, so hard to not be a rule). Then we would do Sunday brunch at a restaurant, following church service. When I was a teenager, I didn’t always love waking up for church, as most teens, I would have preferred to sleep in, however, when I went off to University, I longed for that Sunday morning ritual. I found myself watching Joyce Meyer on TV or sometimes I would go to church myself, but it just wasn’t the same.
That said, I would love coming home and having that family time – it was so comforting. I appreciated much more as a young adult, after moving away and still do till this day. I love that Andrew and I have made it a point to make this a weekend ritual with our family. I really look forward to it and so do they. Elle loves seeing the kids and I love getting my soul fed. I can’t imagine starting a week any other way.
This outfit is another from Pinkblush. I wore it on Sunday, while attending church in Sydney, Nova Scotia – where I grew up. love the colour and it’s so comfortable. I picked this cute little dress up at the Bay while shopping in Sydney as well. It matched so well with my dress, I couldn’t resist the twinning mommy & me vibe, so had to take a photo! Love capturing moments & memories like this while Elle is little. I know we will love looking back on all the memories.
What is your Sunday ritual!? Do you like to sleep in and chill or get ready for the week!? Drop me a line. Would love to hear from you. Until next time, keep enjoying the beautiful life God gave you. The more gratitude you have the more you will feel blessed and be a blessing to others.
