Skirt: Old, but similar here, here & here | Chunky Cardigan: I purchased mine at a local shop called Envy but this one by Southern Wishlist looks like exact one for half the price & this one is pretty too, for a bit more! | Booties: Old, but similar here & here | Tank: PinkBlush
So something I have been doing more for fall is stocking up on non-maternity skirts that I can wear now and hopefully after pregnancy as well. I have worn a few of my non-maternity skirts (like this one). It inspired me to look for more non-maternity skirts, as you don’t see a lot of maternity versions anyway.
What I look for:
- A-line styles
- Stretch Knits (super on trend for fall too)
- Stretch waists (so I can pull up over my bump)
- Midi Styles (these tend to work best, since the bump causes you to lose some length)
I like wearing them with a tank tucked and sweater coat or jacket. I think the layer adds depth. You can also add a belt to add some depth and hide a plain stretchy waist line. I find this also emphasizes the smallest part of your waist, which is always flattering.
I am obsessed with the colour of this cardigan. I always love chunky knits in fall. I just wish they fit better under our jackets. That will be the next thing I hunt for, an oversized jacket that will work with pieces like this cardigan, so I can get more longevity out of them. I have a red coat that is great, but hoping to find something in the neutral colour scheme. Stay posted! Until then, I will be trying to squeeze in ALL my chunky knits over the next few weeks, since we tend to go from hot to cold pretty fast in Eastern Canada.
