I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. The girls had so much fun dressing up and trick-or-treating for Halloween. I am not a huge fan of Halloween. I loved it when I was a kid, but as I got older, it was just not the same to me.

I don’t gel with dark stuff and don’t like the origins of Halloween, but I don’t celebrate that. I think it’s fun to see the kids get dressed up in their cute costumes and enjoy going door to door for junk food. We don’t focus on share the scary dark stuff – we keep them shelters and keep it fun! They will have plenty of time to understand that, as I did, when they get older.

That said, it was Ivy’s first real experience going door to door on door on foot this Halloween. She was so cute, saying thank you to all the people over and over again for giving her treats. I wish I had more videos because she was actually hilarious (she usually is; both girls are). The best was when we tried to empty her treats into the master bag to make room for more in her basket. She had a bit of a meltdown as she thought daddy was trying to steal them on her!

Elle loves the story of Little Red Riding Hood, so when I saw this, I had to pick it up! I chose Ivy’s because it was cute and looked warm and cozy and she loves cats! Do you guys dress up for Halloween? Do you take your kids trick-or-treating? Hope you all had a happy & safe weekend.
