Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong & selfless moms out there! It is true a mom’s work never stops. I read, by the time a mother’s child turns 18 years old, she has spent more than 150,000 hours being their mom! What an important role you have been entrusted with – whether you’re a biological mamma, adopted mamma or spiritual mamma-I hope you felt special and honoured on this day.
Sharing a few scriptures I found to share what promises God has for moms.
- Motherhood is honored by God.
Proverbs 31:28-31 (NLT)
Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
but you surpass them all!”
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
- A mom’s investment in her children bears fruit for the rest of their lives.
Proverbs 22:6 (NLT)
Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it.
- God carefully creates each child in their mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:13-14 (NLT)
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
- 5. A mom’s prayers for her child are powerful.
James 5:16 (NLT)
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
- God gives strength to moms through His presence.
Matthew 28:20 (NLT)
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
