Autumn Uniform

Jacket: June|Jeans: Citizen of Humanity, sold out, but similar here | Boots: Kate Spade,  – mine in Chicago a couple years ago, but found them here! | Turtleneck: Wilfred | Purse: Louis Vuitton Pouchette Metis | Sunglasses: Karen Walker

If we had autumn uniforms, mine would be ripped denim, suede shoes and a turtleneck layered under some sort of fur (most usually the recycled kind). So you can imagine it looks a little something like what I’m wearing in the pics above. MY uniforms need to tick a few boxes, but comfort is MAJOR.

I like this look because it’s slightly edgy, yet femme; super comfy, but also polished and put-together. Pairing a ripped pair jeans and a luxe topper, gives a downtown girl meets uptown girl feel. This is a vibe I feel at home in more than any other.

That said, I also love the impact of a standout topper on an otherwise basic ensemble. Take the outfit I’m wearing as an example. I took a basic merino wool turtleneck and a pair of basic denim jeans with neutral booties and made it pop with my coat. This is a style tactic I organically use for so many of my outfits.

Do you have any personal style tactics? What’s your autumn uniform? Does it change from year to year or do you have fave pieces you update?

Love to hear from you! Thanks for reading and have a great week!
