3 mindset or mind-shifts to help you live the life of your dreams

Let’s talk about how you can live the life of your dreams. Here are mindset or mind-shifts to help you enjoy every day while manifesting your dreams. (Ps: this photo was taken at a lavender field in Provence, France, which was a bucket list trip for me, so felt it was fitting.)

1) Raise your expectancy: every day, when you wake up and choose to set your mind on higher things. Where your mind goes your energy flows. There’s actually a scripture in the Bible that says “for what a man thinks in his heart so he shall be…” proverbs 23:7. Expect things to happen and they will!!

2) Discover the power of your thoughts and words: you must choose to think good thoughts on purpose. That means, taking every thought captive (which is another biblical truth 2 Corinthians 10:5). You don’t have to think or meditate on every thought that pops into your head. If it’s negative and doesn’t align with the vision and goals you have set your mind to, discard it right away and replace it with one that does.

3) Have an Attitude of Gratitude: it’s so important to be content where you are on the way to where you’re going. Life is not a destination, but a journey. While you were waiting for your dreams to come to fruition, work hard, but also be present and enjoy the moment. Find joy and purpose in the small things and they will lead to bigger things.

I know that waiting for manifestation of our dreams can feel frustrating at times. The middle or waiting period is where dreams die for some people. It can be challenging at times, especially when it feels like it’s taking longer than we would hope. We might begin to doubt or fee weary, but know that the stage or season you find yourself in is probably preparing you for the next stage or season of life that God has for you.

That said, if you can only choose one of these to focus on, I would recommend, the attitude of gratitude. Life is what you make of it. You will have struggle, adversity and challenges, but there are always things to be grateful for! Those are your bright spots. It’s impossible to not have joy when you’re focused on the good, no matter what you’re going through. So keep your mind turned toward the blessings.
