It’s the most wonderful time the year. Well, sort of, as our city just moved into the Orange Phase of Covid, meaning we have to revert back to our one household bubble. That said, life is good and there really isn’t too much to complain about if we focus on the positive. So, with that, I wanted to share one of my most favourite rooms in our home.

Elle Rose’s room is so girly & enchanting. It really brings me back to my own childhood. It’s it nice to have a reminder of when things were simpler? It reminds me to enjoy the small things and to be present and enjoy each and every blessing to the fullest. Every time I enter it’s an instant perk up!

Everything in Elle’s room has so much meaning. Her little bird house that is made out of a Charlotte Web book, was picked up at a sweet boutique in Kennebunkport during our baby moon, while pregnant with her. It was one of the first things we bought for her room. She is such little book lover and just was recently introduced to this story, which was one of many of my childhood faves. Her toddler bed, was actually her crib. I loved it so much, I wasn’t ready to let it go, so we bought the conversion kit and turned it into a daybed (linked up top). We went with blush and Ivory as the colour scheme. This was the same scheme in her nursery. It’s just so pretty and suits her so much. I am also personally just loving all things blush these last few years and of course, light and bright whites and creams are just so fresh, soft and the perfect neutral to compliment.

We picked up this snowy flocked tree this year at Canadian Tire (sold out, but linked another really nice one!). Since switching her into the larger room (just before Ivy was born) I new I would have more room for this type of tree, so I was super excited to add that to her Christmas decor this year. The snowy flocked look just suits her room so much. It’s so pretty and enchanting. I did the tree in a very similar decor theme to fit her room, Parisan vibes, right down to mimi sparkling silver Eiffel Towers, which says, “Oh mommy, aren’t they just beautiful”.

She has been sleeping with us a lot these days, as she seems to be afraid at night. I read this can be normal phase for her age, so not pressuring her too much. However, I often joke that we should maybe switch Ivy into the big girl room, since it’s so beautiful and no one has been sleeping in it. She immediately shuts it down. “mommy, I love my room, I just get scared at night.” Ivy’s room is beautiful too, in it’s own way, but of course, Elle being older has a larger room. I would never make one more beautiful than the other! #momguilt

That said, she loves her tree and her room, for that matter and that makes me so happy, because I put so much thought into making it perfect for her!
